Tschernikhovski (Tchernikohovski), Shaul
(1875-1943)
   Palestinian Hebrew poet, of Russian origin. He was born in Mikhailovka, and during World War I served in the Russian medical corps. From 1922 to 1931 he lived in Germany, and later he moved to Palestine. He wrote poetry, stories, essays and philological studies, and translated ancient and modern verse. His poetry had an important impact on Jewish youth.
